What You'll Do:
- As part of our EMEA regional tax team, you support the EMEA regional tax team on all VAT related topics for our legal entities in the EMEA region.
- You monitor VAT compliance & accounting processes regarding VAT payments, recoveries and VAT account reconciliations, and clearings.
- You keep track of and address inquiries from the tax authorities across the region.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing tax working papers, documentation, and audit deliverables, while maintaining internal controls and policies.
- By collaborating closely with the group tax and accounting teams, you contribute to actively managing tax risks and driving potential for tax optimization among our stakeholders.
- You’ll support Tax projects considering different subjects such as tax processes, tax technology and tax operations.
- Drive process improvements and enhancements to tax processes, controls, reporting systems, and documentation, including IT-enabled initiatives.
- You support the reporting of VAT key figures to the group tax team.
Who We're Looking For:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- You've 5+ years of professional experience and deep VAT Compliance knowledge, having dealt with VAT across more than 1 country (preferably within Europe and Brazil).
- You have experience with common accounting software (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central).
- You enjoy questioning the status quo, have the drive to push boundaries, and are not afraid to speak up, review and develop things further and want to be part of a fast-paced environment with new challenges everywhere.
- You are characterized by an independent, careful, and structured way of working; you also maintain an overview of work-intensive situations.
- You are a true team player and achieve the greatest successes as part of a team.
- You are fluent in English.
