We're a highly ambitious, hard-working team that pushes you to produce your best work yet. We focus on how we approach problems, we chase growth, and set ambitious goals. Want your ideas to have an impact and your career to grow? Then Emma is the right place for you.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Platform Team. The Platform Team is responsible for building and maintaining the core platform that enables our product teams to develop, deploy, and operate secure, scalable, and high-quality services. This team also drives improvements in developer tooling and experience, ensuring that our engineers can work efficiently and effectively. As an Engineering Manager for the Platform Team, your primary mission will be to enhance engineering productivity, enable fast, reliable software delivery, and ensure that infrastructure, tooling, and processes scale with the company’s needs.

What you'll do:

  • Lead a high-impact team that builds and maintains the engineering platform, providing the foundation for all product development teams.
  • Drive developer productivity improvements by optimizing workflows, automation, and developer experience across build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Ensure platform reliability, security, and scalability, enabling product teams to ship with confidence and minimal operational friction.
  • Advocate for best practices in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, site reliability engineering (SRE), and DevOps to enhance operational excellence.
  • Foster collaboration among the product teams, understanding their challenges and providing solutions that empower them to move faster.
  • Own the team’s roadmap and technical strategy, balancing short-term execution with long-term vision to build a sustainable platform.
  • Mentor and grow your team, supporting their career development, and fostering a culture of innovation, learning, and psychological safety.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on architectural decisions, ensuring platform solutions are robust, scalable, and secure.
  • Lead incident response processes and promote a blameless postmortem culture, turning issues into learning opportunities.

Who we're looking for:

  • Deep expertise in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure-related domains, with a strong background in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar).
  • Proficiency in modern software development practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi), observability, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • A passion for developer experience and productivity, with an understanding of how tooling and automation improve efficiency.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a track record of building and growing high-performing teams while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • A proactive problem solver, able to work across teams and influence technical and strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical challenges into business impact.

What we offer:

  • A combination of personal and company growth to accelerate your career and help you reach your goals.
  • A career development path tailored to your goals, with access to mentorship, training, and resources that will accelerate your professional growth.
  • The chance to work on exciting and challenging projects as part of a dedicated, international team.
  • A culture of collaboration and innovation, where you’ll have the freedom to implement new ideas, shape processes, and help build the DNA of a maturing company.
  • To work and learn from experts in diverse fields and get to know your team members at exciting company events.
