About The Role:
We are looking for a Customs Manager, fluent in German & English, to take full ownership of all customs-related processes in our EMEA markets. You’ll ensure that our import and export processes run smoothly, that we are compliant at all times, and that our supply chain flow functions without delays.
At the same time, you act as a sparring partner for internal teams and our external service providers, reporting directly to our Senior Team Lead Customs.
What You'll Do:
- You are our point of contact for all customs related topics and are responsible for compliance with all legal customs regulations and their documentation.
- You fulfill all customs-related processes (import and export) in day-to-day business.
- You maintain the existing customs status (AEO) as well as the development of related processes.
- You are the single point of contact to the customs offices.
- You create and monitor correct supplier declarations.
- You support planning, organizing and dispatching transports with a focus on intermodal transports (SEA, Rail, Air) and monitor their appropriate fulfillment.
Who We're Looking For:
- You have 2+ years of experience working on Customs topics, ideally in the Logistics or Retail industry.
- You’re experienced in dealing with EU preferential trade schemes, Global Tariff, and Tax implications, preferably in German trade schemes, Tariffs and Tax matters.
- You have a deep knowledge of the AEO program to support Customs audits.
- You’re action-driven and possess the ability to act in a changing environment and are hands-on.
- You are well organized, can prioritize, and have strong communication skills.
- You’re fluent in German and English.
