About The Role:
Are you passionate about transportation operations and ready to take ownership of a critical part of our supply chain?
We are looking for a Transportation Manager to coordinate First Mile and Mid-Mile Transportation, ensuring our shipments move efficiently, safely, and on time, across our EMEA Region (11 countries).
What You'll Do:
- Own First Mile & Mid-Mile operations: Oversee daily shipments, invoice approvals and take proactive action to mitigate risks or delays.
- Manage carriers & suppliers: Build strong relationships with external partners, steer performance based on KPIs, and ensure adherence to SLAs. Monitor KPIs and SLAs on cost, quality, and service, analyzing performance to drive efficiency improvements.
- Drive operational visibility: Improve shipment tracking, reporting, and flow of information across the network. Support system integrations and develop process improvement recommendations.
- Lead carrier negotiations: Secure competitive pricing for all lanes and negotiate service levels. Identify cost drivers, prepare tenders, analyze proposals, and support negotiations, contracts, and change requests.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with warehouses, suppliers, and carriers to ensure seamless inbound/outbound flow. Manage and update shipments while maintaining communication with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Solve problems fast: Address transportation issues (capacity constraints, delays, exceptions, challenges in the market) with a data-driven approach.
Who We're Looking For:
- You have a bachelor's degree in Logistics, Management, Engineering, or Supply Chain.
- You bring 1+ years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain or 3PL’s Management.
- You possess both a strong analytical capacity and strong communication skills.
- You have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel - Power Query, Shiptify or Tableau is a plus.
- You have a hands-on mentality, strong analytical thinking, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- A passion for driving results in a fast-moving operational environment
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to learn, flexibility, and resilience.
